La Gioia

My name means joy in Tigrinya — and La Gioia means joy in Italian. That's not a coincidence. That's the whole story.

I'm Illta, and I make handcrafted bead jewellery in Frankfurt, inspired by my Eritrean heritage, Italian culture, and the people I love most. Every colour and pattern carries a little piece of that story — two worlds that shaped me, woven into something you can wear.

Each piece is named after someone real, made by hand, one bead at a time. Nothing is mass-produced — if you look closely, you'll see the small imperfections that make it yours alone.
